The goliath heron has a name that suits it. There are more than sixty different species of heron around the world. The goliath heron is the largest of them all. When they stand up straight, the goliath heron is about 1.5 metres tall. They have a wingspan of more than two metres. Apart from a large body, the goliath heron also has a large bill. It can grow up to 24 centimetres.
