Movement

Nature is always on the move, and so are animals. Discover how animals run, fly, climb, and crawl. Movement can be the key to survival. It helps animals escape predators, find food, and search for a mate. But sometimes, staying perfectly still is the best strategy of all. How do you move? Can you run faster than a cheetah? Stay underwater longer than an Asian small-clawed otter? Or would you rather relax in the sun like a ring-tailed lemur?

Educational Elephant Presentation - 2:00 PM

Watch the elephants demonstrate their impressive strength and agility as they move through their habitat. Our elephants participate in regular training sessions, which allow us to monitor their health and wellbeing. Did you know that their feet and nails also require regular care? Our animal care team will be happy to explain how this works and tell you more about these remarkable animals. Feel free to ask questions and discover more about elephant care.

Walk-Through Lemur Habitat - 11:00 AM

Every day at 11:00 AM, you're invited to visit the ring-tailed lemurs in their walk-through habitat. Follow the trail and watch how they move through their environment leaping, climbing, and scrambling with ease. As you explore the habitat together, discover that every animal has its own way of moving.

Coffee Truck

At the Coffee Truck, you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, a refreshing drink, or a tasty treat. Take a seat on the cosy terrace overlooking the elephants while the children have fun in the playground.

Playgrounds

After watching the animals, it’s time to get on the move yourself. From climbing and jumping to scrambling and sliding, children can choose their own path through our playgrounds.

Did you know...?

💪 An Asian elephant’s trunk contains no bones, but it has more than 15,000 muscles. This allows it to pick up both large objects and the tiniest items with remarkable precision!

🌳 A white-cheeked gibbon can easily swing to a branch as far as 10 metres away. With its long arms and flexible shoulders, it can travel through the treetops at remarkable speed!

🫁 A cheetah can sprint at incredible speeds thanks to its large heart, powerful lungs, and extra-large nostrils. These help it get the oxygen it needs for lightning-fast chases!

Lemur Rescue Center

The Lemur Rescue Center primarily cares for ring-tailed lemurs that have been rescued from the bushmeat and pet trades. The goal is to release these lemurs back into the wild.
