A Matter of Taste
Food
To survive, every animal needs food, but it must also avoid becoming food itself. Discover how animals hunt, escape from predators, and find the right things to eat. What’s on the menu? A griffon vulture’s diet is very different from that of an Indian rhino. Some animals are herbivores, some are carnivores, and others eat both plants and meat. Explore how animals are adapted to their diets and learn how their senses, digestion, and even camouflage help them survive.

Green Balkans
Stichting Wildlife is working with Green Balkans and Eindhoven Zoo on the reintroduction of the griffon vulture in Bulgaria. Several European vulture species have become completely extinct in this country. In recent years, a number of griffon vultures from our park have been released into the wild in Bulgaria.

International Rhino Foundation
Thanks to conservation efforts, the population of Greater one-horned rhino has risen from fewer than 200 animals at the start of the 20th century to around 3,600 today. These conservation efforts are vital because poaching continues and the species’ habitat is steadily shrinking.
