Food
To survive, you have to eat. But you also have to make sure you don’t get eaten yourself. Learn all about hunting, fleeing, and searching for the right food. A Griffon vulture's diet looks very different from that of an Greater one-horned rhino. Some animals eat only plants, some eat only meat, and there are also animals that eat both. Animals are adapted to the food they eat. In this area, discover everything about the senses, digestion, camouflage, and how these relate to an animal’s diet.

Green Balkans
Stichting Wildlife is working with Green Balkans and Eindhoven Zoo on the reintroduction of the griffon vulture in Bulgaria. Several European vulture species have become completely extinct in this country. In recent years, a number of griffon vultures from our park have been released into the wild in Bulgaria.

International Rhino Foundation
Thanks to conservation efforts, the population of Greater one-horned rhino has risen from fewer than 200 animals at the start of the 20th century to around 3,600 today. These conservation efforts are vital because poaching continues and the species’ habitat is steadily shrinking.
